FIVE new walking routes have been launched by the New Forest National Park Authority. The authority says the routes are the result of years of research and that drawings, dramatisations and folk songs will bring them to life. The five walks, which now feature on the authority s website, are in Carters Lane, Marchwood, Rockford Common, Stuckton Iron Works, Tatchbury Mount, and from Lepe to Fawley. Archaeologist Gareth Owen said: These walks take you to some beautiful places in the New Forest and along the way you can discover some of the rich history that adds to why the national park is such a special place.
