Kerala Governor Arif Mohammad Khan doubled down on claims of a "nexus" between the ruling CPIM - via the Students' Federation of India, its student wing - and the Popular Front of India banned by the centre under anti-terror law UAPA.
A visibly irked Khan, on his way for an event, got out of his car, took on the agitating members of the Students Federation of India and sat on the roadside demanding police action against the activists of the CPI-M-affiliated SFI for staging a blackflag protest against him
Enraged by the banners outside the university guest house terming him a 'sanghi' and demanding he 'go back', Khan alleged that these were put up by the state police on the directions of Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan
This comes a day after SFI activists attacked Arif Mohammed Khan's car that was taking him to the Thiruvananthapuram airport late on Monday. They were protesting the governor nominating ABVP members in university senates
