BANGKOK (The Nation/Asia News Network): Parnpree Bahiddha-Nukara, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs, visited Aranyaprathet District, Sa Kaeo Province on Monday (Sept 25) to gain more insights on cross-border trade, investment and tourism, as well as infrastructures linking Thailand and Cambodia.

Cambodia's requests to increase capacity at the Stung Bot-Ban Nong Ian international border checkpoint with Thailand – around 9km southeast of the main Poipet gate – during its preliminary phase continue to be declined by the Thai side, according to a senior public works official.

The Japanese Business Association of Cambodia (JBAC) has asked the General Department of Customs and Excise of Cambodia (GDCE) to resolve some of the challenges faced at the Stung Bot-Ban Nong Ian international border checkpoint in Poipet town of Banteay Meanchey province after its preliminary opening.
