India News: NEW DELHI: Delhi on Wednesday reported it first case of Covid-19 JN.

India has reported a total of 22 cases of new Covid-19 sub-variant JN.1, forcing health departments to take necessary precautions to prevent the virus from spreading

The advisory issued on Tuesday asked district medical authorities to monitor influenza-like illness (ILI) and severe acute respiratory illness (SARI). India News: PATHANAMTHITTA: Kerala health minister Veena George on Sunday said the Covid-19 sub-variant JN.

The World Health Organization (WHO) has declared a new sub-variant of Omicron, BA.X.BA.2.86, as a "variant under monitoring" (VUM) due to the large number of mutations it contains. The sub-variant has been detected in just five cases in Denmark, Israel, the UK and the USA; nonetheless, concerns have been raised over its large mutations, potentially exacerbating fears of further Covid-19 cases.
