Twitter has introduced a feature that will let Blue subscribers post 10,000-character-long posts expanding from the previous limit of 4,000.

Twitter Blue subscribers can now post up to 10,000 characters in one tweet, and format their tweets with bold or italic text.

In February, the micro-blogging platform introduced 4,000-character-long tweets for Blue subscribers. "Sign up for Twitter Blue to access these new features, and apply to enable Subscriptions on your account to earn income directly on Twitter. The decision to introduce 10,000-character-long tweets comes as Twitter is embroiled in a fight with popular subscription newsletter platform Substack.

Elon Musk appears to be betting on a scenario where some of the best content creators would continue to countenance his supposed toxicity in light of Twitter’s unmatched reach and appeal.

Substack is refuting claims that its new short-form posting service Notes mimics Elon Musk's Twitter and is meant to compete with the prominent social media platform.
