A 19-year-old youth raped a 13-year-old girl at Sujanagar upazila in Pabna on Friday night, police said quoting victim s family.
The victim was sent to Pabna General Hospital for medical examination this morning after her father filed a case with Sujanagar Police Station yesterday.
Bodruddoza, officer-in-charge of the police station, said the accused rapist Shakib Hossain (19) lives near the victim.
As she was collecting wood near her house on Friday evening, Sakib called her to his house where he raped the girl, the OC said quoting the victim s family.

A man was killed and six more were injured as a train and a motorised three-wheeler collided at an illegal level crossing in Pabna s Sujanagar upazila yesterday.
The dead is Dabir Uddin Khan, 60, of Tatiband village in the upazila, said police.
According to Mohammad Bodruddoza, officer-in-charge of Sujanagar Police Station, Dabir and some other people were standing beside the rail line while the collision took place.
Hitting the Rajshahi-bound train, the brick-laden motorised three-wheeler, locally known as Nosiman, skidded off the rail track and hit the people standing there.
