Fares are at a base price of ₹10 for first 2 km and ₹5 for every-subsequent km To improve last mile connectivity, the Delhi Metro has flagged off a fleet of 25 e-rickshaws, called ‘ETO’ from Jamia Millia Islamia Metro station of Magenta Line. These E-rickshaws will be plying from 6 am to 11 pm daily providing last mile connectivity to nearby localities, said a release.
A charging station for these electric vehicles has also been provided. DMRC has partnered with a consortium of ETO Pvt Ltd (who will operate the e-rickshaws) and GEM Vehicles (who is the manufacturer) to run these services from three stations -Jamia Milia Islamia, Sukhdev Vihar and Jasola Vihar Shaheen Bagh.

A day after Congress president Sonia Gandhi wrote to Prime Minister Narendra Modi on fuel price hike, her son-in-law and businessman Robert Vadra registered his protests against fuel prices by riding a cycle to commute to his office.

Vadra insisted that he is fighting the political battle without being in politics and he was used each time as a punching bag whenever the government is in a bind.

NEW DELHI: Congress leader Priyanka Gandhi Vadra s husband Robert Vadra has opened up on his desire to enter politics and contest elections after being subjected to grilling by the Income tax department.
Vadra alleged that he was subjected to such treatment because he is related to a prominent political family.
Speaking to IANS in New Delhi on Thursday at his Sukhdev Vihar office, Vadra said, I am related to a family that has for generations served the people of this country and have even been martyred for the country. I have seen, learnt, campaigned, spent time in different parts of the country and I suppose to fight this kind of dynamic I have to be in Parliament.
