The house of representatives has approved the Democratic Police reform legislation named in honour of george floyd, whose death in Police Custody a month ago sparked calls to address police misconduct. The reform has provisions to end qualified immunity for law enforcement, prohibit racial profiling and ban chokeholds and create a National Registry of police misconduct.
