The Harris County School District will launch a Summer Feeding Program, providing free meals for children and teens in the local area.

The program, which is managed by the U.S. Department of Agriculture and distributed by the Oklahoma State Department of Education, will run through Aug. 9.

No application is required to get meals and drop-ins are encouraged.

Like they say at Harvest Regional Food Bank, Hunger doesn’t take a summer vacation, and once again Harvest is sponsoring their Summer Feeding Programs in and around the Texarkana area, including Bowie, Miller, Columbia, Lafayette, and Nevada Counties.

The Greater Cleveland Food Bank's annual Summer Feeding Program delivers daily breakfasts and lunches to over 120 locations when school is not in session.

The program is funded through the U.S. Department of Agriculture as part of a nationwide program to keep children fed during the summer months.

Lawton Public Schools will have 11 different sites set where families can pick up breakfast or lunch for their children.

The Obed Wild and Scenic River will be partnering with Morgan County School Food Services to offer a “Lunch and Learn” program series that will take place on Fridays starting
