COVID 19 and the covid economy has wreaked havoc throughout the wine world, as it has in our everyday lives. Now that the holidays have arrived, I ll posit that we could all go with a strong glass of something about now, and happily, there are still plenty of great wines being made.
The following list includes offerings from Napa, Sonoma and Paso Robles in California as well as a pair from Oregon. Internationally, Spain, France, Italy and Argentina round out our annual Top 10.
This year’s list features wines from the low $20s up through about $40, as is our tradition for this annual column. The average price point comes in just over $27, which should prove affordable when one is looking for a special occasion sort of wine.
