DAVOS (Bloomberg): Billionaire Andrew Forrest sees an opportunity to export green fuels to Singapore after the collapse of a (A$30 billion) US$21 billion project to supply clean electricity from Australia.

Andrew Forrest’s Squadron Energy will go head-to-head with fellow billionaire Mike Cannon-Brooks for control of the clean energy project, but if successful will dump a 4200 km submarine link to Singapore.

Sun Cable – considered to be the world’s biggest renewable energy export project – announced on Wednesday it had entered voluntary administration following “the absence of alignment” with shareholders.
