Sensex Today | Stock Market LIVE Updates: US stocks closed higher on Tuesday following positive earnings from top-tier companies and as investors were focused on quarterly results from Magnificent Seven and other megacap growth stocks.

On the nifty index, Grasim Industries, Bharti Airtel, Nestle India, Maruti Suzuki, and Tata Motors emerged as the top gainers.

Rajiv Jains GQG empire in India has expanded to $11 billion, diversifying beyond Adani stocks to include stocks from various sectors like energy, banks, real estate. The portfolio now comprises a wide range of stocks.

Motilal Oswal is bullish on Sun Pharma has recommended buy rating on the stock with a target price of Rs 1,870 in its research report dated April 23, 2024.

The benchmark NSE Nifty50 and the S&P BSE Sensex indexes each settled about 0.2% higher at 22,402 and 73,853, respectively. Nifty on Wednesday ended 34 points higher to form a Doji candle on the daily chart which indicates indecisiveness prevailing in the marketplace at the current juncture.

The broader market outperformed the benchmark indices, with the BSE SmallCap index gaining 0.91% and the BSE MidCap index rising 0.46%.

Indian shares ended slightly higher on Tuesday, giving up some early gains despite positive global cues. The benchmark S&P BSE Sensex ended the session up 89.

The NSE Nifty 50 settled 0.14% higher at 22,368, while the S&P BSE Sensex rose 0.12% to 73,738. They have gained about 1.7% each over the past three sessions.

Tejas Networks, Smartlink Holdings, Celebrity Fash, Sudarshan Chemical and Manaksia Coated, hit their fresh 52-week highs at 11:09AM.

Stock market today: Sensex ended 0.12 per cent higher at 73,738.45 while the Nifty 50 closed the day at 22,368, up 0.14 per cent.
