Radhakrishnan’s entry in Sundaram AMC adds to the niche bunch of fund managers-turned-CEOs in the Indian AMC industry. Sunil Subramaniam, Sundaram AMC’s present CEO, is likely to step down by April 2024. He is most likely retiring.
Sundaram Mutual Fund announced the launch of Sundaram Multi Asset Allocation Fund. The scheme opened for public subscription on January 05, 2024, and will close on January 19, 2024.
The scheme will invest a minimum of 65% in equity and 10-25% each in Gold ETFs and fixed income instruments, giving investors the benefits of equity taxation.
Sundaram Multi Asset Allocation Fund aims to reduce portfolio volatility by investing across three asset classes: equity, gold, and fixed income. Given the superlative returns in equity and a good sprint by gold in 2023, fund houses are busy pushing multi-asset allocation funds.
