More often than not, we often hear colleagues and friends stay home from work or school because of this dreaded “d” word.
Diarrhoea 101
If you’ve never gotten diarrhoea before, pat yourself on the bum and thank your lucky stars. It’s not a pretty sight and feeling to have because your bowel movements (or stools) are loose and watery.
Usually, diarrhoea happens because of a virus that gets into your gut and essentially starts causing trouble.
There are also other potential causing reasons like food tolerance or allergy, adverse reaction to medication, bacterial infection, intestinal disease, parasitic infection, and gallbladder or stomach surgery.
A Lancaster student exempt from wearing a face covering due to having a hidden disability has stepped forward and told The Lancaster Tab that they have been “harassed” and “discriminated” against by Lancaster University staff members for not wearing a mask on campus.
The university’s policy regarding face coverings states that “Nobody is expected to provide evidence that they are exempt from wearing a face covering” and “It is up to all of us at Lancaster to be mindful and respectful in these circumstances.”
However, Emma told us that despite not being legally required by law and by the university’s guidelines to provide evidence for being exempt, she has experienced “distress” after staff members on campus have argued and insisted that she wear a mask or vacate the premises.

The initiative is designed to encourage Motorpoint employees across England, Scotland and Wales, to not only recognise the Sunflower symbol on lanyards but how best to provide the customer wearing the lanyard with additional support while in branch.
The Hidden Disabilities Sunflower scheme, launched in 2016, indicates to people around the lanyard wearer that they may need additional support.
