Three batches of Banana Boat Hair & Scalp Sunscreen Spray SPF 30 have been voluntarily recalled

The sunscreen brand said the sprays were distributed throughout the U.S.

The recall said that although benzene is not an ingredient in Banana Boat products, "unexpected levels" of the carcinogen were found in the spray propellant.

The Food and Drug Administration said consumers should immediately stop using the product if it came from any of the three batches recalled.

No injuries or deaths related to the products have been reported, the company said.
