Tog season is nearing its close, but summer flounder season is around the corner; school striped bass are all over the local back bays.

Cape May and Wildwood areas reported better striped bass fishing before the blow as the waters have begun to warm. Tog fishing has been fair.

Plenty of schoolie striped bass hit the back bays and rivers, while headboats prepare for tautog anglers at the docks this weekend.

Hit the wrecks as tautog season opens this weekend, or fish the back bay marshes and tidal creeks for stripers and big white perch.

Striper season is kicking off strong along New Jersey's back bays, with quality reports stretching from Cape May to Raritan Bay.
