Cassian Billary
Cassian Billary of Warrie Street in Belize City was arraigned before Senior Magistrate Aretha Ford for the murder of nineteen-year-old Micah Baltazar. Billary couldn’t be offered bail and no plea was taken because the charge is an indictable offence to be tried only in the Supreme Court. He was remanded to prison today. On Monday night, Baltazar, a gas attendant, had just left a relative’s house on Kraal Road and he was walking on Neal’s Pen Road when he was gunned down. According to Head of Eastern Division’s Crimes Investigations Branch, Superintendent Alejandro Cowo, Balthazar may have been killed because of the area that he frequents.

“Was Keith Courtenay ever targeted before, sir, we know that his father was killed about nine months ago?”
Supt. Alejandro Cowo
“Yes, we know that he has been called likewise or said to be associated with one of the gangs in that area and we believe hence that is one of the motives for the other person they were looking is the dispute around the gang rivalries in that neighborhood.”
Andrea Polanco
“Sir, did you receive any information that he once belonged to a gang, he then left that gang and ever since then he was being harassed by the gang that he left?”
