Hyderabad, Sept 1: AIMIM president Asaduddin Owaisi slammed Uttar Pradesh's BJP government for its decision to conduct a survey of unrecognised madarsas in the state and termed the move as harassment of Muslims.

It took just nine seconds to blast the 40-storey Supertech twin towers in NOIDA to 80,000 tonnes of rubble in a controlled demolition.

Waterfall implosion technique was used to bring down 100-metre tall structure

The nearly 100-metre-tall twin towers -- Apex and Ceyane -- were demolished at 2.30 pm on Sunday as per a Supreme Court order that found their construction within Emerald Court premises in violation of norms.

The top floor of one of the demolished Noida Twin Towers fell barely 10 metres from the nearest neighbouring residential building.

Noida twin towers reduced to rubble and dust, authorities now focus on 100 more such illegal structures

A day after the illegally built Supertech twin towers were demolished, Samajwadi Party president Akhilesh Yadav on Monday asked the ruling BJP why it hasn't taken action against those responsible for their construction in Noida.

The former BJP MP alleged that the builders' lobby has been constructing such illegal structures by being hand in glove with the BMC staff and officials

As per media sources, the Noida Authority has now turned its attention to the 100 or so similar buildings in the neighbourhood to see if they, too, were built in violation of the law in the aftermath of the twin tower demolition.

On Sunday, more than 3,700 kg of explosives were used to demolish Supertechs Twin towers.
