Rustlers, the £115m chilled ready meals brand from Kepak, is looking to help retailers optimise their hot food-to-go offering with a new âCook in the Boxâ solution.
Rolling out this month across the convenience channel, the product allows shoppers to heat a fully assembled burger without opening the pack, eliminating any messy preparation whilst also acting as a product carrier to enable consumption on the go.
âTogether with our new range of food to go solutions, Cook in the Box creates a low cost, low wastage approach for retailers who want to offer hot food across all day parts,â said Ross Davison, Convenience Controller at Kepak Consumer Foods.

Rustlers unveils ‘cook in box’ food-to-go concept Print

Kepak is rolling out a Rustlers Cook in Box solution to help retailers “optimise their hot food-to-go offering”.
Available from this month, the solution allows shoppers to heat Rustlers All Day Breakfast Sausage Muffin (£2.50) without having to open the pack, “eliminating any messy preparation whilst also acting as a product carrier to enable easy consumption on the go”.
A Supreme Cheese Melt Burger (£2.50) is also launching exclusively in the Cook in Box format, which “will cater for lunchtime and evening shoppers”.
