Congress MP Ravneet Bittu has written a letter to DC Surabhi Malik, urging her to take action against the increasing number of illegal encroachments on government land in Ludhiana. Bittu highlighted that colonizers and land mafias have encroached upon various government properties, including revenue routes, rain drains, panchayat, MC, Ludhiana Improvement Trust, and Glada. He emphasized that these illegal occupations were ongoing without proper facilities such as parking and fire extinguishers. Bittu also claimed that senior government officials were involved in conniving with the developers. He urged the DC to investigate the matter and take strict action against the violators.
“If there’s any particular case, then Bittu should bring it to the notice of the CM instead of giving such political statements and writing letters. AAP government has got encroached land freed from several influential people already,” state AAP spokesperson Malwinder Singh Kang said.
