Microsoft held its annual Surface event on Wednesday, showcasing a bundle of new Windows devices as well as some intriguing software.

As part of its about-annual upgrade cycle, Microsoft's Surface Pro 9, Surface Laptop 5, and Surface Studio 2 Plus featuring new Intel processors have debuted at about the same price points as the previous models.

The Microsoft Surface Studio 2 Plus is a much-needed refresh to a desktop that had rapidly aging specs. But the price is high for this niche PC.

Microsoft said it will soon launch the AI-powered Microsoft Designer and the related Microsoft Image Creator for Edge and Bing. Both will use the DALL-E 2 algorithm to bring AI art to Windows users.
