Mud no match for bikers in musical tour of Marion Co.
PEABODY – The inaugural Flint Hills Counterpoint Musical Bike Adventure Ride pedaled through Marion County with intereped riders braving muddy roads and chilly temperatures. Organizer Susan Mayo said of the 40 riders who signed up for the event, over half braved the weather and conditions to experience the arts and nature in the Flint Hills.
Riders traveled from across Kansas to participate in the ride. Kansas City club, Blazing Saddlebags, members Monica Brannon, Kari Agosti and Susan Estes arrived a day early to be rested for the ride. The women said the heard about the ride from Flint Hills Counterpoint documentarian Cyan Meeks.
