State Tree Authority to discuss tree cutting for Riverfront development project by PMC

The Maharashtra State Tree Authority will decide on Pune Municipal Corporation s proposal to cut over 7,000 trees for a riverfront development project. Tree lovers and environmental activists have opposed the project, and a meeting will be held on June 30 to discuss the matter. Green activists have taken to social media to express their discontent and appeal for the authorities to not give clearance for tree cutting in Pune.
