Trinamool Congress on Monday alleged that the data of several citizens, including politicians and journalists who took Covid vaccine, has been leaked on the social media application Telegram.

The Centre today assured that data in the CoWin portal -- the country's Covid-19 vaccination tracking platform -- is completely safe, following reports that personal information of people registered on the portal has been breached.

In a series of tweets, Gokhale, who is spokesperson of Trinamool Congress, said:

CoWIN does not collect any personal details of an individual, the government said after opposition leaders claimed a major privacy breach on the Covid-19 vaccination registration portal, wherein personal details of vaccinated people were leaked on the social media application Telegram.
