BEST-SELLING crime writer Peter James is giving money from sales of his latest book to a charity which supports police officers. Peter is best-known for his thrillers about Brighton detective Roy Grace, recently turned into a hit TV drama. Now he and his publishing company Pan Macmillan have decided to give the Sussex Police Charitable Trust £3 from every sale of Left You Dead made at City Books in Western Road, Hove. The trust helps police officers, staff, special constables, pensioners and family members when they are in need. It gives advice and provides financial support. The drama was shot in locations across the county, with the bulk of the action taking place in Brighton. Brighton Palace Pier and West Pier both feature in the one-minute teaser, along with several shots of the seafront and the beach huts along Hove promenade.
Watch the trailer below: ITV has now confirmed that the 120-minute show will air for the first time at 8pm on Sunday, March 14. It is based on the international best-selling book Dead Simple by Sussex author Peter James, and follows fictitious Detective Superintendent Roy Grace, played by John Simm, as he looks to track down a property developer who went missing just days before his wedding.
Passers-by noticed the large cliff fall at the Seven Sisters. Yesterday, Birling Gap Coastguard issued a statement on social media urging people to stay safe by keeping away from cliff edges. Pictures show recent rockfalls at Birling Gap in Sussex Credit: Birling Gap Coastguard A spokesman for the service said: We are aware of a significant fresh cliff fall at the cliff end (western side) of the Seven Sisters. Our advice remains the same regardless of where along the coast you may be, please stay away from cliff edges and bases as they are very unstable and are liable to collapse without warning.
