Sussex County Board of Commissioners vacant seat filled

SUSSEX COUNTY Frankford Township Committeeman Chris Carney was selected to fill the vacant Sussex County Board of Commissioners seat by the county s Republican Committee.
Carney fills the seat left vacant by Josh Hertzberg, who resigned late last year after he was elected to the Sparta Township Council.
Carney, 43, resigned his Frankford position Monday and will attend his first meeting as county commissioner on Feb. 10. I m not sure whether I will be sworn in before that meeting, he said Monday afternoon, but noted he is already getting information forwarded to him from the commissioners office.
