An Australian woman, who was working with an insurance company, lost her job after 18 years after her firm used keystroke technology to monitor her work-from-home performance.
An Australian employee, Suzie Cheikho, was fired from her job at Insurance Australia Group (IAG) using keystroke technology that monitored her remote working performance. The technology found significant gaps in Cheikho s work habits, including consistently beginning work late, working less than assigned hours, and logging zero hours on four separate days. Cheikho claimed she used other devices and her hours had not been that underwhelming. However, the comprehensive assessment of her keystrokes found otherwise, leading to her termination.
