Growing up playing Australian rules, Lismore Swans player Eliza O Toole, 17, has now heeded the call from AFL North Coast who are looking for more umpires. Ms O Toole said umpiring will add another dimension to her footy skills set. I started six or seven years ago playing with the boys and am now a member of the Swans Women s team, she said. I ve umpired AFL games for school and my main goal is to play professional women s football with the Brisbane Lions.
