Seven rescued after cargo boat capsizes – but one still missing

ONE person is still unaccounted for after a cargo boat from the Dominican Republic capsized in international waters, 40 miles south east of Providenciales last Thursday (January 28).
Officers from the Royal TCI Police Force and a private citizen were able to recover the remaining seven crew members during an early morning search and rescue operation.
The Tropic Scout II was on its way to Providenciales from the Dominican Republic with building materials when it capsized near Swimmers Rock at about 1am.
