Outdoor events, lectures and concerts headline The Mount s summer season

LENOX — Outdoor performances, lectures, monthly StoryWalks for families and the return of the SculptureNow outdoor exhibit, on June 1, are the focus of the 2021 summer season at The Mount, Edith Wharton s Home. “We knew we wanted to do as much outdoors as possible,” said Susan Wissler, executive director at The Mount, in a release. “We envisioned different locations throughout the estate as unique performance venues and tried to match the performances to the space, making each site-specific. We will be presenting live music on a newly built stage below the stable, hosting lectures in an open-air tent in the field at the top of the property, and using the entire estate for roving readings and performances.”

Qatar- Show jumping: Over 100 riders get set for Amir Sword Festival

(MENAFN - The Peninsula) The Peninsula Doha: More than 100 riders will feature at the three-day Amir Sword Festival to be held at the outdoor arena of the Qatar Equestrian Federation (QEF), this was announced by the organisers yesterday.  The winner of the Amir Sword will also get a brand new car, Ali bin Yusuf Al Rumaihi, Secretary-General of QEF, said yesterday. The top three riders in the Feb 18-20 competition will be honoured at the Qatar and Equestrian Racing Club (QREC), Al Rumaihi added. More than 100 riders will feature in various competitions. The riders and equestrian enthusiasts are waiting for this great annual event. Our preparations for all competitions are complete, Al Rumaihi said.
