IPOH: A night market trader was charged in the Sessions Court, here, today on three counts of raping his 13-year-old stepdaughter, last year.
However, the 48-year-old man pleaded not guilty to all charges that were read out to him before Judge N. Priscilla Hemamalini.
On the first and second counts, the man was charged with raping the victim, aged 13 during the incidents, on a Saturday in June and July last year, at 2.30 pm and 2 pm respectively, at a house in Kampung Banjar, Ayer Tawar, Manjung.
He was also charged with raping the victim on Dec 26, 2020, at about 3.30 pm at the same location.

IPOH, Jan 11: A former plantation worker, M. Sugu, who is the husband of famous YouTuber S. Pavithra, was today released by the Sessions Court here on good behaviour bond for three years for possession of an offensive weapon.
Besides also imposing a RM8,000 bail with one surety, judge Norashima Khalid ordered Sugu, 30, who had pleaded guilty to the charge, to pay cost of RM3,000 to the prosecution.

IPOH, Jan 11 A former estate worker M. Sugu escaped jail term with a three-year good behaviour bond of RM8,000 after pleading guilty at the Sessions Court here to possessing an offensive weapon in July last year.
Judge Norashima Khalid meted out the sentence after the 30-year-old pleaded guilty during the trial proceeding on charges of possessing a dangerous weapon.
Norashima also ordered Sugu to pay RM3,000 for the prosecution cost.

He was charged with committing the offence at the parking lot of Raja Permaisuri Bainun Hospital here, between 4pm and 6pm on July 21 last year.
