Australia’s HR startup Employment Hero raises $35m in Series D funding

Sydney-headquartered Employment Hero, a cloud-based HR, payroll, and benefits startup, has raised A$45 million (about $35 million) in a Series D funding led by ASX-listed employment marketplace giant SEEK.
According to a report by the Australian Financial Review, the funding round, which was also participated by OneVentures, AirTree Ventures, and Salesforce Ventures, values the HR tech company at more than A$250 million.
The fresh capital will be used for Employment Hero’s expansion and growth in markets including New Zealand, Southeast Asia, and the United Kingdom.
