The apex court had pulled up the Punjab government on Wednesday for not completing the construction of its part of the SYL canal and asked the Centre to survey the land allocated for the project in the state so as to assess the work progress.
The bench of justices Sanjay Kishan Kaul CT Ravikumar and Sudhanshu Dhulia also came down heavily on the Punjab government over their approach to the issue and asked them to cooperate in the process. | Latest News Delhi
The court said “we are concerned with the decree for the construction of the SYL canal in the Punjab portion, as Haryana has already constructed” and asked the Punjab government to extend full cooperation to the survey.
