Northeast Tennessee musicians, music educators, venue owners -- or anyone working in the region's music scene -- are being asked to make their voices heard.The

Tennessee leaders on Thursday announced plans to conduct a census of the music scene in the state’s eight northeastern counties.

The partnership includes Northeast State Community College and Sync Space.

About 45% of the people who have moved to the area in the last 18 months are 40 or younger.
