Thanking them for their service to our country. Both have served our country in various capacities for a long time. Not an easy thing to do. I respect and appreciate that work. I look forward to continuing to work with you. The good news i want to start with is unlike last year we have a budget agreement. And last year we spent a lot of time talking about how difficult it is to run anything in the government but certainly the department of defense without Appropriations Bills in a timely manner. Now, last year we were off by i dont know 3. 5 months, Something Like that, but thats better than drifting into the next year. They went to work every day to do the ab150,000 americans is an interesting element in command structure. Then on 21 november i swore in as vice chairman of joint chiefs of staff and went to a staff of five. Because im actually not in command of anything anymore. I have no command responsibilities, and will command anything. [laughter] when we drove out to omaha on the way over here and we were in a little bit of a hurry because the chairman had been out of vice chairman a little while he wanted me there quick. Also a member of this committee so shes here as a of the committee but also on these topics, particularly fallible in her role as appropriate. We have been having with the library, with the smithsonian, with the architect of the capitol these kinds of oversight hearings to fulfill that responsibility and be sure were giving the agencies to help they need. Were glad to be here of course with the librarian, dr. Carla hayden, with mr. Barton, the chief Information Officer and your temple, the register of copyrights. Thank all of you for being here today.
