Kenneth Klase, principal of St. Louise de Marillac Catholic School in Upper St. Clair, has been named a Most Valuable Principal by the Pittsburgh Penguins Foundation.
The foundation received 1,300-plus nominations for more than 135 principals from public, private and charter schools in the Pittsburgh area. Klase is one of only 16 principals to be honored as a Penguins Most Valuable Principal.
Through a partnership with the Allegheny Intermediate Unit, the Grable Foundation and Pittsburgh Penguins Foundation, the program recognizes principals who demonstrate an innovative approach to learning, a continuous strive for excellence, and a passion for their school and students. Highlighting the work done over this past year, the program recognizes the difficulty that local schools have endured amid the COVID-19 pandemic.
