In its 5 p.m. weather bulletin, PAGASA said "Odette" was estimated at 485 kilometers east of Hinatuan, Surigao del Sur with maximum sustained winds of 130 km per hour near the center and gustiness of up to 160 kph. Gale to storm-force winds will be experienced in the areas where Tropical Cyclone Wind Signals (TCWS) No. 2 has been hoisted, it said.
