Indy Pride, the city’s largest LGBTQ celebration, will be virtual again for the second year in a row as event holders say it’s not reasonable to plan and host an in-person festival during Pride Month at this time.”
Replacing the typically jam-packed Pride Month will be a live streamed concert, virtual vendor tour and Zoom meet-ups with other Pride attendees.
Festival leaders explained in a series of tweets Tuesday that the country is in a critical stage of the pandemic as vaccines become more available. Indiana Gov. Eric Holcomb last week opened vaccine eligibility to all Hoosiers ages 16 and older.
