Sayles Street family sounds alarm on alleged arson, online abuse
The Sayles Street family involved in the June incident that has led to punitive action against three Providence police officers says it has since been the target of verbal abuse and an alleged arson.
On Friday, Taffii Moore, who resides with her husband and children at one of the two homes where a fight broke out that drew heavy police response and pepper spray last month, said she has seen people drive past her house shouting and throwing bottles.
“I’ve been in and out of my home, she said. Sometimes I stay here and sometimes I don’t. I have to make sure that my kids are safe at all times. So if I don’t feel like they’re safe because of things that went on, then I have to leave my own home because of the incidents, and I shouldn’t have to leave.”

More than two-dozen officers responded to an outdoor gathering around 6pm in the neighborhood near Rhode Island Hospital. Police admit that over the course of three hours, officers pepper-sprayed people in the crowd and arrested five, including four minors.
