It has been a year since the tragic death of Migos rapper Takeoff, who was killed while attending a private party in Houston.

Quavo, a member of the rap group Migos, has become an advocate against gun violence after witnessing his nephews shooting death. He has met with political figures, including US Vice President Kamala Harris, to discuss the issue and spoke on a panel at the Congressional Black Caucus legislative conference.

Migos rapper Quavo has released his second solo album Rocket Power, which features two tracks with his late bandmate Takeoff, who was fatally shot in 2022. The album, which was delayed for additional testing, was released without prior information. Quavo described the album as his therapy, with Rocket Power reflecting his various moods.

The lawsuit accuses the owners of a downtown bowling alley of failing to provide adequate security during a private party that ultimately left Takeoff dead while leaving two others wounded.

Quavo admits that he sometimes cries himself to sleep due to Takeoff's death.

Takeoff's mother Titania Davenport has reportedly filed a lawsuit against the owners of 810 Billiards and Bowling following Migos rapper's tragic death.

The lawsuit, filed in Harris County court by Georgia resident Titania Davenport, claims negligence on the part of five companies and seeks more than $1 million in damages related to her son's shooting death.
