ASTANA. KAZINFORM The Astana Opera opened a new season with a full house, under unceasing applause and shouts of «Bravo!». One of the best performances, Akhmet Zhubanov and Latif Khamidi’s opera Abai to Mukhtar Auezov’s libretto, was presented to the audience.

ASTANA. KAZINFORM The monumental opera «Abai» by outstanding composers Akhmet Zhubanov, Latif Khamidi to Mukhtar Auezov’s libretto will be presented to the listeners’ attention at Astana Opera on February 24 and 25 under the baton of the production’s music director and conductor, the opera house’s principal conductor, the world-famous Maestro Alan Buribayev, Kazinform learned from Astana Opera press service.

ASTANA. KAZINFORM The tour of Astana Opera’s soloists, choir and symphony orchestra to Almaty ended with thunderous applause. On December 8 and 10, excerpts from national and foreign operas, symphonic works, as well as Giuseppe Verdi’s monumental work Requiem were performed for the classical music connoisseurs of the southern capital under the baton of the Honoured Worker of Kazakhstan Abzal Mukhitdin.
