REPAIRS are underway on a leaking underground water pipe in one part of Taman Kingfisher which has given rise to supply problems along eight housing roads in this part of Inanam.
THE Water Department is trying to proactively prevent its distribution mains in Beaufort from springing any leaks and is preparing to deal with a damaged pipe in an Inanam neighbourhood.

A damaged arm-chair was among the bulky waste found by City Hall staff on one pavement in this Likas neighbourhood.
CITY HALL has refuted a ratepayer’s claims about a breakdown in its garbage collection service in a Likas neighbourhood, saying the domestic waste from homes here was removed according to schedule.
The homeowner claimed that the rubbish had not been removed from outside residences there in some time, making the public spaces look unsightly.
He provided Hotline with the names of the housing roads along which piles of refuse had been spotted. This information was forwarded to the agency.

THE Water Department is monitoring the supply to Taman Kingfisher as several homes have been experiencing a shortage for some time.
A spokesman for the agency said the falling water levels at the reservoir servicing this area were to blame for these supply woes.
“This has given rise to the low water pressure at some of the affected premises, while others do not even get a drop,” he said.
