Bentley Wallace, president of South Arkansas College, will be the next chancellor of Arkansas State University-Mountain Home, ASU System President Chuck Welch announced Tuesday.

South Arkansas College will soon be on the hunt once again for a new president, as current President Dr. Bentley Wallace has accepted the chancellor position at Arkansas State University-Mountain Home.

Bentley Wallace, who has been president of the college in El Dorado since 2020, will take over in Mountain Home Aug. 1.

The Arkansas State University board of trustees approved three-year contract extensions for chancellors last week.
