The tough new restrictions take effect on jewish new year on friday and will last at least three weeks. The countrys seen a rise in infections, with 4,000 new cases a day. Heres our News Reporter paul hawkins. Up until now, every country in the world has had to maintain that difficult balancing act of keeping the economy open on one hand and protecting public health. Israel is the first country to ditch that balancing act and in effect its saying, were going to bring in a National Lockdown because there are 4000 confirmed cases of coronavirus every day in israel at the moment.
