The YWCA Cass Clay held its 50th Annual Women of the Year event on Monday, April 24, 2023, where 41 nominees from Cass and Clay counties were honored for their contributions to the community. HOWE — Seventeen elk were killed in Howe Monday night after a semi-truck hit the animals on Idaho Highway 33. The Downtown Engagement Center, at 222 4th St. N., offers homeless people many services, including mental health assistance, help with housing applications, job searches, identification cards, health care, and the Syringe Service Program, which provides clean needles to drug users. The center has a laundry room, private showers and toilets, lockers for storing personal items, and a space for arts and crafts.
