Prof. dr. Joyeeta Gupta is appointed as a co-chair of the United Nations Group of Ten High-level Representatives of Civil Society, Private Sector and Scientific Community to Promote Science, Technology and Innovation for the Sustainable Development Goals (10-Member Group). This group of high-level representatives from civil society, the private sector, and the scientific community plays a crucial role in promoting science, technology, and innovation for the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).

The 10-Member Group forms part of the Technology Facilitation Mechanism (TFM), which is designed to harness multi-stakeholder collaboration for achieving the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (UN SDGs). Karen Scrivener, head of the Construction Materials Laboratory in EPFL’s School of Engineering, will serve in her personal capacity as part of this Group from 2024 to 2025.
