Tata Electronics is reportedly to sign a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) worth a whopping Rs 12,082 crore with Tamil Nadu Government.

The investments in Tamil Nadu by the various firms will generate thousands of employment opportunities in the state.

The announcement comes at time when the oil-to-telecom conglomerate is doubling down on its green energy push.

The two-day Global Investors Meet (GIM) kicked off at Chennai's Trade Centre on Sunday, with the ruling DMK government in the state hosting the event. On the first day of the GIM, the Tamil Nadu government attracted an overall investment of Rs 55,654 crore.
