Drone and thermal cameras have been used to help tackle the fire at the former NatWest building in Crewkerne.
Avon and Somerset Police deployed the technology to help firefighters see the spread of the blaze, and to bring the flames under control.
Market Street remained closed overnight as Devon and Somerset Fire and Rescue Service continued to work at the scene - it has since partially reopened.

A fire has broken out in an old Natwest bank building in Crewkerne.
Around 14 fire engines are at the scene and residents have spoken about the drama on social media.
Avon and Somerset Police and confirmed Devon and Somerset Fire and Rescue Service are at the scene.
The road is closed while the incident is ongoing.
Police, ambulance and fire crews have been contacted for further information.
