Delays have been growing very quickly this morning. It is backed up almost nine to ten miles on northbound 101 causing about an hour and a half drive time delays. As youll notice, well turn on the sky 7 map sky map on sky 7, monterey road is also backed up. Still a better alternate. The monterey road drive time is 53 minutes. Santa teresa, another alternate, that drive time is 44 minutes. That still beats the hour and a half drive on northbound 101. Chp hopes to reopen lanes by 7 30 or 8 30 so the backup will be out there for a while. You may want to also consider caltrain getting out of gilroy and morgan hill this morning.
