A faster Steam Deck will come, one day, but it isnt going to be anytime soon.

It's more affordable but the non-Extreme Ryzen Z1 chip in the entry-level ROG Ally handheld is massive step down from the Z1 Extreme.

Over the last few months, Ive noticed a few games on Steam that Ive reviewed shipped with Steams Remote Play Together feature in addition to online or local multiplayer support. Games without official online support dramatically benefit from this feature. Some of them are pretty amazing as well, but tools like Steams own Remote Play Together and Parsec help bring more players together.

Valve is doing another discount for the Steam Deck, but this one brings it to its all-time lowest price at up to 20% off. The deal started a few days ago (h/t to our reader Geoff Page who reminded us about this over email), but is still valid until September 21st.

ASUS revealed the new ROG Ally Z1, the base model for its handheld console. There is one ASUS ROG Ally, but users can get various tiers soon to bring various options depending on their preference and budget, with the company introducing the Z1.
